and I am not inviting any friends. (?)
I never did get a good reason on this, but
it's her big day, so we went with it.
She did wind up with these purple Heeleys from B, B & lil' b, and they were a big hit. So much so, that she is begging for me to take her to the mall where "it's no problem, they let you skate in there," she assures me.
As the ice-cream cake sugar-high kicked in, the Trampoline Show- Down followed. Uncled Ben had some interesting Herky's and, believe it or not, this High School Musical inspired picture took just one take - it was magical.

ReplyDeleteBucky and I were busted for playing Tag (I guess this is a no-no on the rink) and then she was busted again for skating with Bode (apparently also frowned upon). The referees (skater boys in referee shirts who were there to keep noncompliant children ~ or Hawthornes ~ under control actually said, "No skating with a baby, but I will let you in on a secret: Girls-Only skate is coming up next." (?) Still not sure why he thought that was a secret or why he disclosed it 20 seconds ahead of time.
